It’s Friday, you’re pretty tuckered out but no you’re not hallucinating. Here are some people on tiny bikes, racing around a bowl circuit in Japan. This is Kawaguchi Auto Pocket Bike racing. We always say we love motorsport of all shapes, sizes and disciplines…

We can’t tell whether it’s the tiny size, or whether they’re genuinely going very fast as well. With knees almost level with their heads, these riders are getting stuck in, effectively taking the whole bowl flat out. Presumably they’re similarly powered, so the racing comes from tactful slipstreaming and carefully tailored lines. You’ve got to love the Japanese.
