Video: On board snarling V8 Rover battling from the back

26th March 2018

If you’re at the back of the grid during the Gerry Marshall Sprint at the Members’ Meeting you have set before you perhaps the greatest task any driver will face all weekend.

As it’s the Sprint (reverse grid) being at the back means you’re quick. You have half a chance of taking the win, provided you’re fairly good at weaving your way through the grid. One MM competitor had all that to contend with, along with the very real threat of snow, in the not-so chuckable or threadable Rover SD1. It all made for a rather chaotic start to 2018’s Sprint which fell under caution within one lap. Before that, though, a lot of snarling Rover V8 being poked with a stick, trying to claw through the pack.
