Four current British Touring Car Championship drivers will star on the Hill at the 2022 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard as Dan Cammish takes part in the Timed Shootout in a brand new BTCC car.

Jason Plato, Josh Cook and Adam Morgan will appear at the Festival alongside Cammish, who will drive the two-seater NAPA Racing UK Ford Focus on Thursday and Friday as part of the first two sessions of the Timed Shootout.

While Plato, Cook and Morgan are not set to drive cars, and all four must leave for that weekend’s BTCC round at Croft, they will appear for Q&A and autograph sessions with Kwik Fit.

It will be the second time the latest generation of hybrid BTCC car has been on the Hill at Goodwood, the Toyota Corolla test car made its debut at the Festival of Speed in 2021, showcasing the future of the championship.

With two rounds in the bag, the new generation of BTCC machines has already showcased its ability to create great racing, and Festival star Josh Cook sits second in the standings, having taken two victories last timeout at Brands Hatch. Shootout ace Cammish made his full-time return to the championship in the opening round at Donington after a year away. Following a difficult first round he picked up a pair of podiums in the Focus to put himself back into contention for the 2022 season, and sits two places behind Morgan in the standings.

For Plato, also returning after a year away from the BTCC, this will be his final full-time season as he hopes to finish on a high and add to his career record of 97 victories and 232 podiums.
