Seeing brand new cars in the metal for the very first time is one of the most exciting aspects of the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. The Thursday of the event has grown to become one of the busiest days of the year for the automotive industry, as many of the world’s largest brands use Goodwood as a platform to launch and reveal their latest concepts and production cars. Here’s a list of all the brand-new cars you can expect to see at the Festival of Speed in 2026, as the likes of BYD and Renault prepare to unveil their plans for the future.

You'll be able to experience the Denza BAO5 off-road at the Festival of Speed.

Denza B5

This year marks the official UK launch of Denza, BYD’s premium brand, and it arrives at the 2026 Festival of Speed with three launch models. The first of which is the Denza B5, which after making its world debut on the Hill in 2025, returns in 2026 to showcase its readiness for a new market.

A chunky SUV that makes the most of a spicy powertrain, the B5 accelerates from 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds, powered by BYD’s DM‑O Super Hybrid Technology - a 1.5‑litre turbocharged hybrid engine combined with a 31.8kWh battery - delivering 544PS (400kW), 760Nm (561lb ft) of torque, and up to 56 miles of electric only range (WLTC).

Also returning to the Festival of Speed is the Denza D9, the brand’s versatile and luxurious people carrier. With a 373‑mile range and spacious seven-seat comfort, it’s designed to accommodate and entertain the family throughout long-distance travel.

Inside the acoustically-engineered cabin which has been designed in conjunction with the sound system, there’s tri‑zone climate control and a built-in fridge, reinforcement if you needed it, of the D9’s focus on comfort and sophistication.

With flowing lines and true supercar performance, the Denza Z9GT spits out 1,156PS (850kW), making for a 2.7-second 0–62mph sprint that’s going to look mighty impressive on the Goodwood Hill.

Its advanced electric architecture enables ultrafast charging from 10–97% in approximately nine minutes, while a quoted 510-mile range suggests impressive long-distance capability. Built on BYD’s innovative e³ Platform with rear wheel steering, the Z9GT pairs exceptional performance with precision, agility and cutting-edge electric efficiency.

Renault 4 E-Tech Electric ‘Plein Sud’

First up for the French marque is the charming Renault 4 E-Tech electric ‘plein sud’, which incorporates a new electric canvas to augment the experience of driving this retro-styled recreation of Renault’s cult classic. Alongside the multi-award-winning Renault 5 E-Tech electric on the Renault stand, the brand will no doubt be hoping to convince passersby that brand new electric cars can still speak to the soul and evoke timeless style.

Renault 5 Turbo 3E

Reimagining the legendary spirit of the iconic 1980s Turbo and Turbo 2, the Renault 5 Turbo 3E is an attempt to bring classic hot hatch thrills to the present day. You may remember a development version of the Turbo 3E made a captivating appearance at the Festival of Speed in 2025, but this year we’re going to be treated to a demonstration of the fully realised production model.

Set to make its dynamic debut on the Hill, the Renault 5 Turbo 3E generates 563PS (414kW) and a whopping 4,800Nm (3,540lb ft) of torque from two rear-mounted electric motors. Trusting it’ll ever be able to find any traction with that much torque flying around, it’ll reportedly accelerate 0–62mph in under 3.5 seconds when it leaves the Startline.

Yangwang U9 Xtreme

Making its first-ever appearance at the Festival of Speed, and its European debut, the Yangwang U9 Xtreme will be an unmissable showcase of cutting-edge, aerospace-inspired engineering.

Powered by four electric motors delivering a staggering combined 3,042 PS (2,237kW), the U9 Xtreme set a new global benchmark in September 2025, surpassing both its own EV record and the fastest petrol-powered production car to become the world’s quickest overall with a recorded top speed of 308mph.

With just 30 models planned for production worldwide, this exceptionally rare zero emissions hypercar redefines the limits of electric performance.

There will be a whole host of brand new car reveals throughout the Festival of Speed weekend, and we'll get our first look at all of these cars, and whole lot more besides on Thursday 9th July when the covers come off for the first time.

Tickets for the Festival of Speed are limited. Friday, Saturday and four-day passes are now sold out and Thursday tickets are selling fast.
