Fireworks and drifters put on spectacular show

You’ve seen this year’s Central Feature in daylight, but have you seen it at night with an incredible firework display and drifters sliding around by Goodwood House? Well unless you’re in the Goodwood security team or were having dinner with the Duke of Richmond yesterday evening, it’s highly unlikely. Thankfully one of our photographers was there to capture everything.

A late-night reception at Goodwood House, a vibrant firework display closed the opening day of the 2025 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard. Fireworks above the House would make nice enough pictures on their own, but throw a few drifters into the mix with flashing exhausts and tyre smoke everywhere, plus the Central Feature celebrating Gordon Murray’s career, and you’ve got yourself something extra special.
