Porsche Cars GB is putting some Goodwood magic into an online auction in support of a children’s mental health charity. Among an abundance of petrolhead experiences available to bid for is an ultimate trip to the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard this year – but it’s not for the faint-hearted since it includes a passenger ride up the Hill!
The astonishing array of lots on offer even includes a day at the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone playing with the new Porsche 911 GT3… in the company of one Mark Webber.
The ultimate Festival experience and a drive with the nine-time Formula 1 Grand Prix winner are just two of 20 exclusive, one-of-a-kind or money-can’t-buy experiences which are up for grabs in PCGB’s first-ever auction in aid of Place2Be, the leading provider of in-school mental health services in the UK.
Bidding began at midnight last night (Monday 12th April) and closes at midnight on Sunday 18th April, with no limits on the amount or the number of bids. To take part go to: https://givergy.uk/Porschecharityauction/
The money raised from the sale will support the charity’s work to improve the mental wellbeing and prospects of children, their families and communities across the country.
There are items in the auction to suit a wide range of budgets, starting with tickets to a Porsche Carrera Cup GB race, a professional valet for your car and Porsche merchandise signed by factory drivers André Lotterer and Neel Jani.
There are tasting menus, luxury hotel stays and autographed memorabilia by Porsche Le Mans winners Nick Tandy and Richard Attwood. Fancy being chauffeured around in a Porsche for the day or getting a behind-the-scenes tour of Ascot racecourse? They are all waiting for your bids.
As Place2Be’s Josie Hough tells us: “The pandemic has exacerbated existing mental health issues for young people like stress, anxiety and depression.
“The support of Porsche comes at a time when our services are needed more than ever before to address the mental health impact that the pandemic has had on children and young people in the UK.”
