If it was a relatively calm day’s testing earlier in the week, Friday at the Motor Circuit is an entirely different ball game. Short of having the adoring crowds out in force you’d be forgiven for thinking it was an event all of its own.
Alas no, just another test day, though the competitors are getting serious. Jason Plato was out testing a Corvette, the team Surtees T70 was back for another round and slews of other single-seaters, tin-tops and sportscars joined them for a shakedown at Goodwood. With two weeks to go, who can blame them?
