Exploring the 2026 Goodwood Revival after dark

For three glorious days, everyone attending collectively creates a pre-1966 backdrop for the racing that brings us together. The atmosphere is electric, with racing action, air displays and countless off-track events there to capture Revival-goers’ attention. 

But there are other moments of quiet where the excitement of the event is replaced with a more reflective mood. At night, after the spectators have left, the paddocks take on a completely different vibe which we’ve captured in this gallery.

There’s something about racing cars at rest that speaks of potential with echoes of battles already fought. Under subtle string lighting, the mix of fresh shiny paintwork and battle-scarred bodywork all tells its own story. Some cars are wearing their winners’ garlands with pride, others are concealed by covers for their nocturnal slumber. 

There’s the occasional distant sound of mechanics working to get cars race-ready for the following day, but aside from that there’s an eerie silence in place of the hubbub of race day. Enjoy what we captured under the inky-black Sussex skies during a night-time paddock prowl.
