Take a peek inside Goodwood Revival’s 2026 Earls Court Motor Show

Taking its name from the original London-based Earls Court, where the British Motor Show was held for decades, the Revival’s immersive recreation is where you can see a mix of new motoring and old.

It's filled in 2026 by exhibits from JLR, Alpine, BMW and more, but the one we’ll lead with is that of Dunlop. Founded in Belfast more than 130 years ago, the Dunlop space is hosting the three Ford GT MkIIs that took first, second and third place at the 1966 Le Mans 24 Hours. The cars have been out on track, of course, but much of their time is being spent in Earls Court.

Elsewhere, JLR is showcasing the new Defender Dakar, which to all intents and purposes is road-going version of the Defender D7X‑R, the off-road endurance machine that secured first, second and fourth place in the Stock class at the 2026 Dakar Rally. The D7X-R itself was based originally on the Defender Octa, so this new Dakar variant represents a full circle of development which has culminated in a wild and intimidating creation, powered by a 635PS (467kW) 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8.

BMW meanwhile is showing off the new i3, which is flanked by the stunning pairing of a BMW 1500 and a 2000 Tilux, the latter a model that combined the specification of a standard, relatively luxurious 2000 model with the engine from the sporty 2000 TI.

Alpine’s stand is similarly eye-catching, showcasing the totally bonkers Alpine x Lacoste: A290 Rallye, a collaboration between the two French companies intended to create something that, while recognisable on the outside, features an interior, swathed in red, unlike anything else you’ve seen with an Alpine badge. Behind that is the new Alpine ​​A390 Art Car, unveiled at the 2026 Revival following a collaboration with British artist Trevor Jackson.

It would be remiss of us if we didn’t mention our colleagues from the Goodwood Road and Racing Club, too, with a display that includes a Jaguar XJR-11 and a Pentax-liveried BMW 530i racing car.
