Goggles, helmets, and flying flags filled the grid as a buzzing swarm of Vespas roared onto the Motor Circuit on Friday morning for the Track Opening Parade of the 2026 Goodwood Revival presented by Dunlop.

This spectacular display honoured an incredible 80 years of the iconic Italian marque, its rich history brought to life here in West Sussex. What started in post-war Italy as a simple, affordable means of transport has evolved into a global symbol of style, freedom and effortless cool for modern-day bike lovers. The sheer sight of hundreds of classic and contemporary scooters flooding the tarmac instantly transported spectators back to the golden age of Italian motoring culture.

The atmosphere reached a fever pitch when the world-renowned Vespa acrobat team took centre stage wowed the crowds, performing gravity-defying stunts and intricate synchronised manoeuvres for a thrilling injection of showmanship. The unmistakable, buzz of two-stroke engines echoed through the grandstands, perfectly bridging the gap between the brand’s utilitarian post-war heritage and its legendary cultural status in the modern world.

Every rider present embodied the timeless charm that has kept this beloved scooter at the heart of global design for eight decades. This Track Opening Parade doesn’t just reminisce, it proves the spirit of ‘La Dolce Vita’ is still very much alive and kicking, and luckily for us, buzzing down the straight for two more days to come.
