Video: 2022 Madgwick Cup full highlights | Goodwood Revival
The Madgwick Cup features sportscars from the early 1950s with 2.0-litre engines, featuring models from, Maserati, Porsche, Osca, Lotus and more. The curious Kieft 1100 of Miles Griffiths got a great start, but the Lotuses weren’t far behind.
The finned Lotus Mk Xs of Malcolm Paul and Oliver Marcais had a thrilling fight for a good chunk of the race, pushing each other to the limits with door-to-door racing. These cars are so light and delicate, the precision required to get the most out of them is right up there. Happily for Griffiths, the two Lotuses tussling behind him allowed him to push, though by the end Paul had closed the gap.
