When originally founded by its eponymous owner, the team acted as a Ford works team, and there is some shared history with the Goodwood Motor Circuit. For instance, the very first Ford Mustang to arrive on European soil was tested by Alan Mann himself right here.
Today, Alan Mann Racing is run by the founder’s son, Henry, and he was on hand at 81MM to run several cars in this special Ken Miles Cup fixture. In this video, we follow in particular the car that was driven by BTCC legend Steve Soper and Ford CEO Jim Farley who shared their Mustang in the two-driver, 45-minute race.
There’s plenty of insight from the paddock, onboard footage and wheel-to-wheel action, so we’ll keep you from the video no longer.
The 82nd Members’ Meeting will take place on 12th and 13th April 2025 and tickets are now available for Members and Fellows of the GRRC.
If you’re not already a Member or Fellow and you’d like to enjoy all the racing, demos, and other exciting content at the Members’ Meeting, you’ll need to join the GRRC. Click here for more information or to join the club.
