Say hello to the Haas VF21, the 10th and final F1 car to be unveiled ahead of the 2021 F1 season, revealed at the start of the first day of pre-season testing in Bahrain.

The covers were pulled away by the two rookie Haas drivers, including Mick Schumacher, the son of seven-time F1 champion Michael Schumacher, and the man who clinched the 2020 F2 title.

An evolution of last year’s car, like every F1 car on the grid this year, there have been tweaks made to the rear of the floor, the diffuser and the rear brake ducts, as per the regulations. Haas has said previously, however, that it would make minimal changes to the VF20 to create the 21, as the team looks ahead to the 2022 season and an entirely new set of technical regulations where bigger gains could be found.

We’ve talked about the livery before, as it was shown a week ago on the old 2020 Haas VF20. Without the grey elements that have often featured on Haas F1 cars, a nod to the team’s owner Gene Haas and his company Haas Automation, and with a new white, red and blue colour scheme and Russian sponsor Uralkali, similarities have been drawn between the paintwork and the Russian flag.
