Video: Fighting the darkness in a Daytona Coupe

It's the middle of the night, you're at the Daytona International Speedway and you're armed with a perfect replica of a Daytona Cobra Coupe. Is this some kind of dream?

If you're you or I then it probably is the late night-time utterings of the block of cheese you consumed before bed. But if you're Jim Pace it's pretty much normality. You see Jim lives a different life to the rest of us. He spends his time being paid to drive other people's classic racing cars all across the world.

We've brought you some of Jim's previous efforts as part of his collaboration with our friends over at Historic Sportscar Racing, and in each he has talked us through exactly how to peddle some of the world's finest racing cars around some amazing circuits. But we're not sure he has ever sounded quite so gleeful to be driving a car as he does behind the wheel of this Coupe.

We like to imagine that this is the kind of sound that was emitted from the helmet of Fernando Alonso as he and his team fought their way to victory at a sodden Daytona 24 Hours this weekend. Especially the moment where Jim exclaims: "let's have some fun!" Let's be honest, could you have anything other than fun when given free rein to both the Daytona 24 course and a mighty, growling Daytona Coupe?
