Against the iconic backdrop of Goodwood House, the BYD Group is hosting a vast showcase at 2026 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, with no fewer than eight vehicles making their debuts across the Supercar Paddock presented by Abu Dhabi Investment Office and BYD’s huge exhibition stand in the First Glance Paddock.

The most show-stopping moment belonged to Denza, which launched its highly anticipated Z sportscar line-up. Shaped by Global Head of Design Wolfgang Egger, the sleek 2+2 Coupe and Racing variants cut a stunning figure alongside the Spider, which turned heads earlier in the year. Underneath the bodywork lies a brutal three-motor configuration delivering an all-electric 1,604PS (1,180kW) and 1,260Nm (929lb ft) of torque. This mind-bending powertrain rockets the Coupe from 0-62 mph in a mere 2.25 seconds, topping out at 186mph.
The track-focused Racing version dials the drama up to eleven, using an aggressive aerodynamic package generating 1,060kg of downforce to assault the famous 1.16-mile Hill, treating fans to the full, violent force of its 1.96-second 0-62mph sprint.
The Z line-up also serves as a rolling lab for BYD’s Flash Charging technology, which charges from ten to 70 percent in five minutes — something we saw demonstrated live on the stand alongside the handsome Z9GT Shooting Brake and the first car to bring this tech to the UK
Away from the asphalt, the Denza BAO 5 SUV has made its first-ever European appearance, conquering a dedicated technical off-road course using its sophisticated 544PS (400kW) DMO powertrain. It was joined in the dirt by the new BYD Shark pick-up demonstrating its own 4x4 prowess, while the compact Dolphin G DM-i supermini made a splash of its own, its ability to cover up to 646 miles on a single charge and tank of fuel was just as eye-catching as its vibrant Sunset Orange paint.
Finally, Yangwang brought three diverse masterpieces to West Sussex, headlined by the world-record-holding U9 Xtreme hypercar. Boasting over 3,000PS and a staggering 308.3mph top speed, it glided effortlessly through the tight, narrow confines of the Goodwood Hill flanked by the U8L luxury SUV and the U7 luxury saloon, which incredibly drove all the way to Goodwood from China just for the occasion.
Anchored by a massive 2,016-square-metre stand packed with driving simulators and interactive tech zones, BYD has truly launched itself at the 2026 Festival of Speed.
