The final day of the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard concluded, as always, with the Timed Shoot-Out, the most competitive element of the weekend’s activity. The competition was as fierce as ever, with Romain Dumas returning to defend his honour from last year. And that he did, taking 0.7 seconds off his time from last year aboard the Ford Supertruck.

While the day may have culminated in the stopwatch coming out, there was plenty other memorable moments from a packed day at Goodwood House. The F1 75 celebration was a major part of this year’s FOS, and the ultimate grid of Grand Prix cars from throughout the years made for a spectacular display on the Hill.
From the 1950 Alfa Romeo 158 Alfeta from the first ever World Championship via iconic machines like the Lotus 79 and Williams FW14B to more modern Alpine A523, it was a spectacular display. Even more so when you consider some of the drivers who had been reunited with their steeds, Nigel Mansell, Mario Andretti and Alain Prost being among their number. Prost also had his balcony moment, where his stellar career of four World Championship wins was celebrated.
Those who made their way to the Forest Rally Stage presented by Subaru were treated to a spectacle of sideways driving and dust, and occasionally air as a diverse array of rally machinery attacked the off-road course. Mind you, the Hill had no shortage of sideways action, especially when the drifters were making their way up while mostly looking through their side windows with billowing tyre smoke in their wake. They often make the most dramatic ascents of the Hill, and in 2025 they certainly didn’t disappoint.
As the sun set over the Goodwood Estate for the final time on the 2025 Festival of Speed, thousands of people made memories to treasure forever.
