Singer is taking centre stage at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard as celebrated marque on the iconic Central Feature, and this morning the Duke of Richmond joined Singer’s Chief Strategy Officer, Mazen Fawaz, in a 1991 DLS Turbo Reimagined by Singer to open up the Hill.

Operating under its core philosophy of a 'relentless pursuit of excellence', Singer is beautifully carrying this uncompromising tone throughout every corner of this year’s event.
The two were welcomed at the Startline bright and early. With the morning sun creeping through the trees on what promises to be a gloriously sunny day, His Grace strapped into the passenger seat to personally verify the excellence of this vehicle as they marked the official start of a wonderful four-day automotive celebration.
Poised on the tarmac and ready to scream up the estate, the 1991 DLS Turbo Reimagined by Singer absolutely stunned in the morning light, its sinister black livery contrasted by statement red accents. This has widely been hailed as Singer’s most visually arresting and aggressive creation to date.
While the DLS Turbo Reimagined by Singer retains the company’s fundamental air-cooled DNA, it takes a dramatic, high-octane turn toward deep motorsport heritage.
Previous Singer creations centred heavily on the clean, sleek styling of the earliest road cars, but the DLS Turbo boldly adopts the muscular visage of iconic Group 4 racers from the 1970s — specifically the legendary 934/5 of IMSA fame.
As the most extreme Singer design ever unleashed, it commands the paddock with incredibly bold, flared wheel arches and aggressive, functional sporting bodywork. For lucky collectors, the DLS Turbo is available in two distinct looks: a somewhat more restrained, road-going version for elegant touring, and a full-fat, unapologetic track weapon complete with an enormous, aerodynamic rear wing.
It’s the perfect embodiment of everything the Festival of Speed celebrates, the ideal machine to roar us into a weekend of motoring paradise.
