Video: Saturday full highlights | 2026 Festival of Speed

By Saturday, things were really heating up at the 2026 Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard courtesy of the Timed Shoot-Out Qualifying session that had us gripped throughout. With a Formula 1 takeover on the balcony and an emotional Le Mans reunion just a couple of the day’s other standout moments, it’s certainly worth watching this compilation of highlights from Saturday at the Festival of Speed.

Bugattis and Alfa Romeos from the earliest years of motorsport got us started on the Hill as part of the batch celebrating the theme of this year’s event, ‘The Rivals — Epic Racing Duels’. That was quite the contrast to the Jaguar XJR9 and Porsche 962 we later saw running together, honouring the many battles between the two marques at Le Mans.

Other runs featured here include BTCC Champion Jake Hill at the wheel of the Nissan 300 ZX Turbo and a father-son interview with F1 World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi and his son Emerson Jr. after the two drove a Chevrolet Monte Carlo and a Lotus 29 respectively up the Hill.

Speaking of F1, James Hunt’s title-winning McLaren M23 — famous for battling Niki Lauda’s Ferrari 312T in 1976 — took to the Hill, ahead of our celebrations of Lando Norris’ World Championship success with McLaren. For the day’s first Balcony Moment, Norris drove the 2023 McLaren MC60 to the front of Goodwood House before heading up the steps to greet a crowd that was perhaps even larger than Friday’s mega Monster moment.

Heading into the afternoon there’s highlights from the Drift batch captured dramatically from the skies, while Norris’ good friend and MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi also returned for a Hill run of his own on the Yamaha YZR-M1.

The Americana Celebration presented by Bank of America gathered a stellar line-up of machines from across the pond, and while Lightning McQueen was as captivating as ever, a rare reunion of the Ford GT MkIIs that finished 1-2-3 at the 1966 Le Mans 24 Hours was the most breathtaking spectacle of the day.

Saturday’s second Balcony Moment, paying tribute to Gerhard Berger’s first F1 victory 40 years ago, preceded the start of the serious business on the Hill, as another busy day climaxed with Qualifying for the Timed Shoot-Out — a session that prepared us nicely for Sunday’s main event.
