It’s why, every year, we welcome some of the world’s oldest road and racing cars back onto the Goodwood Hill. To experience, hear, see and smell that wonderful and actually, not all that distant past. Filled with the music of early combustion engines and their eccentric popping, banging and fire-breathing personalities. Here’s a video featuring some of the oldest examples of four-wheel engineering we’ve had grace the Hill. From a sophisticated 1903 Napier Gordon Bennet, to a raw 1906 Darracq, these open top heirlooms remind us all where this sport and industry began.
