Video: V12 Ferrari 512 pedalled by five-time Le Mans winner Derek Bell

Derek Bell, five-time Le Mans winner and Goodwood local, is probably best associated with Porsche, having taken four of his five La Sarthe victories with the team from Stuttgart. But it wasn’t a Porsche he drove in his first sportscar race. It was a Ferrari.

This is it, the 1970 Ferrari 512M, and at the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard in 2015 Derek became reacquainted with the sound of its 5.0-litre V12. That sound, as you’ll hear, is a real, old-school V12 growl, and we like it very much.
