Back in 1965 a Scottish racing driver by the name of Jackie Stewart achieved the joint lap record of the Goodwood Motor Circuit, completing the 2.367-mile course in just 1 minute and 20.4 seconds during Goodwood’s last ever F1 race, the Glover Trophy.

And 50 years later, at the 2015 Goodwood Revival, that very Scotsman, by now a three-time world champion with a knighthood, returned to the revered Sussex circuit, driving the very car – BRM P261 – in which he achieved the equal lap record alongside Jim Clark.
