Not to be missed
The whole family will appreciate a day on the South Downs; whilst adults indulge in our adrenaline charged, on-track action (and of course, the youngsters can get involved too!), the little ones will love exploring our children's play area and dancing to our Jazz Band and Sax Quartet on the grass.
Get up close
Aside from the fantastic horse racing, Saturday showcases a complete introduction to horseracing. Meet The Racehorse on the East Parade Lawn, or revel in the equine excellence, as a parade of retired champions takes place before racing. Famous names include the Queen’s Barbers Shop and former Group 1 sprinter Limato.

Racing to school
Racing To School will be on hand with complimentary and engaging activities to entertain the whole family. They include a chance to test those race riding skills on a mechanical horse alongside an array of inspiring ‘have-a-go’ elements to learn more about horse racing. Kick start the British Flat Race Season with the perfect day out. Whether you are new to racing or an old hand, there is something for everyone.

I came here three years ago but once you’re bitten, you have to come back. It is always atmospheric here, it doesn’t matter what the weather conditions are, it is always a memorable day. Everything about Goodwood is done for love, it’s been crafted lovingly over centuries.
There are some amazing racecourses around the world, but without fail you feel like you’re in one of the most special.
It has been fantastic… this is another great Goodwood event, with a great atmosphere.

It goes without saying that Goodwood has always been a special place for me. The Qatar Goodwood Festival is a beautiful week and Goodwood is the most picturesque racecourse in the country.
