Following the confirmation that Formula 1 World Champions Jenson Button and Jacques Villeneuve will go head-to-head in this year’s RAC TT Celebration, we now have three more incredible names to throw into the mix at the 2026 Goodwood Revival, each boasting a record-setting career in motorsport.

Tom Kristensen is by far and away the most successful driver in endurance racing history. He holds the record for the most victories at the both the Le Mans 24 Hours and the Sebring 12 Hours.
He famously won on his Le Mans debut after joining the Joest Racing team with two days' notice, and went on to claim nine wins in total driving for Audi and Bentley. His six wins at Sebring also began with a debut triumph with BMW in 1999, after which he went on to enjoy a dominant streak over the next 14 years.
His career hit its peak in 2013, when he, alongside Allan McNish and Loïc Duval, was crowned World Endurance Champion.
Known for his scintillating speed during crucial periods in races, his relentlessly consistent stints — often coming during the nighttime hours at Le Mans — were pivotal during each of his victories. Kristensen will be showcasing that talent when he returns to the Revival in 2026.

From one legend to another, Jimmie Johnson has sealed his legacy as one of the greatest NASCAR drivers of all time. After making his debut in what was the Winston Cup Series in 2001, he quickly established himself as a leading driver in each of the next three seasons before claiming his first Cup Series title in 2006.
He then went on an unmatched streak of five successive Championship, cementing himself as one of the fastest and most consistent stock car racers of all time.
His tally of 83 Cup Series wins, including two at the prestigious Daytona 500 makes him the third most prolific driver of the modern era, and sixth overall behind only Richard Petty, David Pearson, Jeff Gordon, Bobby Allison and Darrell Waltrip.
Since retiring from full time racing at the end of 2022, Johnson has made a name for himself in historic motorsport, competing and winning at the Goodwood Revival. He’ll return in 2026, looking to add to his extensive list of achievements.

Also hailing from Northern Ireland, Colin Turkington enjoyed a similarly successful career in the British Touring Car Championship.
With four BTCC titles to his name, he sits alongside Andy Rouse and Ash Sutton as the most successful driver in the series’ history, while his tally of 77 race victories across a 20-year career put him second on the all-time list behind only Jason Plato.
In all, Turkington won races in 19 consecutive seasons, as he cemented himself as a mainstay within the stop six places in the Championship from 2004 until his final season to date in 2024, making his one of the most consistently successful careers in touring car history.
Known for his mastery of the rear-wheel-drive BMWs that he drove to all four of his titles, Turkington will be one to watch as he gets behind the wheel of something a little more primitive at the 2026 Goodwood Revival.
Those three motorsport legends will join F1 World Champions Jenson Button and Jacques Villeneuve are both preparing to tackle the famous Goodwood Motor Circuit at the wheel of two Jaguar E-types, with which they’ll line up on the grid for the world’s most prestigious historic motor race this September.
Button is the proud owner of his particular machine, the iconic ‘CUT 8’ E-type, which boasts substantial history and a resounding connection to the legendary Jaguar preparer and racer Dick Protheroe.
Villeneuve meanwhile will be racing another car of esteemed Protheroe heritage, the ‘CUT 7’ E-type that took victory in the hands of Tom Ingram and owner Richard Kent last year.
Both of these cars, with their distinct grey and sky-blue liveries, will be in good hands whenever Button and Villeneuve climb into their respective cockpits, but the competition is going to be as fierce as ever, so they’ll need to be on top form if they want to add their names to the most revered roll of honour in historic motorsport.
Button will return to the Revival after claiming his first victory at the event in 2025, he took the chequered flag driving his own Jaguar C-type in the Freddie March Memorial Trophy. He followed that up at the 83rd Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport with another win, his first at the wheel of his recently acquired ‘CUT 8’ E-type, in the Phil Hill Cup.
Villeneuve, meanwhile, is a relatively new hand to historic racing. He made his competitive debut at the Revival in 2025, where he was given the unenviable task of trying to tame the ‘Hairy Canary’ AC Cobra in the wet. He’ll return in 2026 hoping for fairer weather as he prepares to tackle the Motor Circuit in the ‘CUT 7’ E-type.
