Video: Awesome sliding Can-Am battle at Goodwood
The Bruce McLaren Trophy was the fastest race we ever held at Goodwood. And in this particular race that was proven when Nick Padmore, in a Lola T70 Spyder, broke the outright Goodwood lap record.
Earlier in the race though, he found himself not out front, and needed to work his way back. One of the cars he needed to pass was Jay Esterer in the awesome, but slippery, Chinook. Thus we were treated to this wonderful duel between two drivers in ridiculously fast cars dancing on the edge of adhesion. It’s a wonderful demonstration of fair but firm motorsport.
