Tune in at two minutes and watch as Randy grasps the steering wheel expectantly. To cheers from his crew he takes off from the startline, with instant EV torque rocketing him to 100mph in scant seconds. Through the sun-soaked, tree-lined start of the course he flies, barely slowing for the sweeping curves. As things get a little tighter he drops the pace to cut the racing line into corners, the G-force almost tangible from this brilliant onboard footage.
The trees soon disappear as Randy pushes on into the cloudless sky, showing no sign of apprehension at the exposed drops and fractured road surface.
Eventually, after a little more than 11 minutes, he emerges from the lunar landscape to cross the finish line, his efforts rewarded by a second-in-class position. Chapeau!
