Video: McLaren's new Super Series can drift with the best of them
And it appears it can drift very nicely thank you.
This is the first video of the crucial second-generation Super Series model to be released. The design and the number of the beast, are still under wraps until the reveal on March 7th, but McLaren is missing no opportunity to get us enthused about the new car. We have to say we like what we have seen so far…
There are a few more nuggets to surface us well. We already know the car can sprint from 0-124mph in 7.8secs but we didn’t know it could then get back down to 0mph in 4.6 seconds – in 6 metres less stopping distance than the 650S.
Lighter, stiffer brake callipers, carbon-ceramic discs as standard and optimised brake pedal feel at the limit are key elements in braking performance that is, says McLaren, virtually on a par with the P1.
