Fast family recalled at Goodwood

For Immediate Release: Saturday July 01 2017

Two of the greatest ever motorcycle racers are being honoured at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Dunlop brothers, Joey and Robert, who between them claimed an astonishing 31 TT victories on the Isle of Man, both lost their lives chasing their dreams, but this weekend has witnessed a stellar array of two-wheeled racing machinery scream up the hill in their memory.

Motorcycles in action include the Honda VTR SP1, which Joey used to take his third and final TT hat-trick in 2000 at the ripe old age of 48, and the black-and-silver Norton JPS RCW on which Robert cleaned up in 1990. Robert’s son William and Michael are brilliant road racers in their own right, and they are out in action this weekend along with Joey’s son Gary and cousin Sam.
