Three days of the Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard down, one to go. If we had our way, it would last forever since four days seem to fly by in the blink of an eye. There is so much going around the Estate you can catch a glimpse of something at any instant, not a moment needs to be idle.

Action on the Hill has been building up to the Timed Shoot-Out, which will take place this afternoon. Yesterday’s qualifying session has determined the running order, with the cars to set off up the 1.16-mile route in ascending order of speed. That means Romain Dumas, who has set the quickest time so far this weekend in the Ford Super Mustang Mach-E, will be last up the Hill in his attempt to make it three wins in as many consecutive years.
Another major focus today will be Damon Hill’s Balcony Moment. It’s now 30 years since he claimed the World Championship title aboard his Williams FW18. Fans who saw it three decades ago will distinctly remember Murray Walker choking up during his commentary as Hill crossed the line to win to secure the title, and we’re looking forward to hearing what Damon has to say about that season from the perspective of 30 years of hindsight.

Elsewhere, there will be action on the Forest Rally Stage presented by Subaru and the Off-Road Arena. The new-for-2026 FOS Fan Zone presented by Pirelli will host chats about the rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda, and about the gruelling Dakar Rally. And that’s not to mention paddocks packed with iconic machinery, the exquisite cars of the Cartier Style et Luxe concours, the Goodwood Action Sports Arena... and everything else that makes a day at the Festival of Speed unlike any other.
Let’s make the most of this final day.
