Lando Norris will attend the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard for a celebration of his Formula 1 World Championship triumph with McLaren, as part of the team’s plans for this year’s event.

Norris, who became the 35th driver to win the World Championship, will mark his achievement by taking to the Hill in the McLaren MCL60 — the car in which he achieved seven podium finishes in 2023 — before driving up to Goodwood House for what is sure to be a huge Balcony moment on Saturday.
While Norris will only be driving the car on Saturday, the MCL60 will take to the Hill on all four days of the event with McLaren reserve driver Leonardo Fornaroli taking over driving duties on Thursday, Friday and Sunday.

Three other cars from McLaren’s history will also light up the Hill at this year’s Festival of Speed, starting with the MP4/8, the car in which Ayrton Senna won five Grands Prix including his final victory in Australia in 1993.
The final McLaren Senna drove, the MP4/8B, will also be at the Festival of Speed, marking its first public appearance since September 1993 when Senna and Mika Häkkinen tested the car in Estoril. It was built as a test car for a Chrysler-Lamborghini V12 engine while the team were developing for the 1994 season, and will be noticeable for its distinctive stark white livery.
Finally, McLaren is marking the 50th anniversary of James Hunt’s memorable World Championship success by also bringing the MC23 for a series of runs up the Hill. The MC23 achieved 16 wins from the 83 races it contested over a five-year spell, including six for Hunt in 1976.
Fornaroli, Bruno Senna and Rob Garofall will be behind the wheel of these three cars as they grace the Hill over the four-day event, and with Norris’ celebrations on Saturday the Festival of Speed looks set to enjoy a huge McLaren presence in 2026.
Tickets for the Festival of Speed are limited. Only Thursday admission remains but hospitality packages for all four days are available. Missed out on a ticket for Friday or Saturday? Find out how you can access our sold-out days with one of our new packages.
