Video: 19 Wildest moments | 2026 Festival of Speed

21st July 2026

The immaculate Goodwood grounds became intimately acquainted with more than a few cars over the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard weekend. From tyre-shredding burnouts to raucous donuts, we were utterly spoiled across all four days of this spectacular event. Packing a weekend’s worth of unhinged motorsport chaos into a single video is near-impossible, but our editors have compiled the absolute wildest, must-see moments that will leave you breathless.

The Hill proved it has teeth, catching out even the best in the business. Motorcycling legend Valentino Rossi found the absolute limit of the Monster-liveried 1999 BMW V12 LMR, spinning the legendary prototype during his run and forcing an early retirement for the car. But if you know anything about 'The Doctor', you know he always has an ace up his sleeve — and he duly delivered by treating the crowds to some spectacular two-wheeled action later in the weekend.

Rossi wasn't the only one to fall foul of the track; a thunderous BMW M3 DTM made a mighty launch off the start-line and rocketed down the straight, only to misjudge the corner and bury its nose deep into the hay bales. Meanwhile, Callum Voisin turned his Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car into the world’s fastest (and most expensive) lawnmower. It was proof of German engineering at its finest as it aggressively mowed the Goodwood grass.

The iconic Fiat S76 'Beast of Turin' executed arguably the pass of the weekend, squeezing the fire-breathing red bullet right through the middle of two rival white cars. Down in the Forest Rally Stage presented by Subaru, pure sibling rivalry erupted into a chaotic donut duel as two Toyota rally weapons went head-to-head, kicking up more dust than you can imagine.

Crowds were also treated to pure drifting wizardry from the industry's absolute best, with everything from sideways Volvos to the monstrous Ford Supervan 4, which delivered a fresh batch of four perfect donuts right in front of the grandstands.

Finally, the ultimate example from the Americana Celebration presented by Bank of America was unleashed on the Hill when a Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupé flexed its raw V8 muscle from start to finish line. It was pure automotive theatre, and you can enjoy that and more in this compilation.
