Video: Rebellion LMP1 racer on the edge

When you’re the fastest man up the Goodwood hillclimb, not much can faze you. And Nick Heidfeld displays exactly that with this deft display of prowess as he winds up the 1.16-mile tarmac run in his Le Mans Rebellion Racing LMP1 racer.

The high-speed demo took place back at the 2013 edition of the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, with Heidfeld displaying his familiarity with the Hill in the screaming racer.
The German famously set the record of 41.6 seconds in a McLaren MP4/13

in 1999. While Romain Dumas surpassed that last year with a 39.9-second run in Volkswagen’s electric ID.R, Heidfeld’s feat remains the fastest Formula 1 time ever recorded up the Hill.
