Revival Snapper's Selection ‑ Pete Summers

‘Let me begin by saying I am not normally a motorsport/automotive/car photographer. So when I was offered the chance to cover Revival it seemed a rather daunting task. I’m a press photographer by trade and even though I’ve covered all sorts of events, the Revival was by far the best and one of the hardest yet.

‘You’ll probably notice a distinct lack of racing photos compared to some of the other photographer’s selections, that’s mainly because my first taste of covering racing was the Freddie March Memorial Trophy – on the Friday night. However a rainshower later in the race made for some rather nice, gloomy shots.

‘Being a motorbike fan the highlight of the weekend, for me, had to be the final lap of Part 2 of the Barry Sheene Memorial trophy on the Sunday. As you will have gathered from my selection, no doubt. That being said, getting to photograph Peter Brock with his six Daytona Coupes on the starting grid was still a pretty special moment.’
