The modern world fades into the rearview mirror the moment you step through the gates of the Goodwood Revival presented by Dunlop. For three glorious days the world’s greatest motorsport event transports visitors straight into the golden era of Goodwood Motor Circuit.
And while the entire weekend is packed with action, Friday holds a magic of its own as a day of first looks, roaring engines and immaculate fashions. Here’s your guide to Friday at the Revival, and how to make the most of the opening day.

The Motor Circuit will transform into a living tribute across the weekend as we celebrate incredible legacies of motorsport giants. Inspiring displays at the 2026 Revival will honour the groundbreaking achievements of three-time Formula 1 Champion Jack Brabham and motorcycle maestro Barry Sheene, remembering the profound impact they left on their respective sports with curated demonstrations featuring their iconic machines.
And the showcases keep coming. We’ll start Friday off by welcoming a spectacular parade of vintage scooters for the Track Opening Parade, marking the 80th anniversary of the iconic Vespa in what’s sure to be colourful affair, while our senses will be filled with the roar of Italian heritage as we mark a century since Maserati’s first motorsport success.
These tributes will run across all three days of the event, but visitors on Friday will enjoy the very first look at these milestone moments, setting a stunning tone for the entire three-day weekend.

Goodwood Motor Circuit roars to life with what’s set to be the most action-filled Friday we’ve seen at the Revival. The excitement kicks off immediately with the vibrant Track Opening Parade, where a swarm of Vespas, Lambrettas and more will take over the tarmac.
Once the scooters clear the grid, the intensity shifts into overdrive. You’ll be able to witness an incredible timeline of motorsport heritage, from the roaring pre-war sportscars of the Brooklands Trophy to the legendary 1960s Formula 1 grids. The air will fill with nostalgia as historic motorcycles and stunning 1950s Ferraris and Maseratis of the Lavant Cup tear through the corners.
As evening approaches, the competitive spirit peaks as we’ll enjoy not one but two races as the sun begins to set, starting with the fierce door-to-door battles of 1960s saloon cars in Part 1 of the St. Mary’s Trophy presented by Motul. Finally, the breathtaking early 1960s GT cars of the Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy will take to the track under the fading twilight, bringing this whirlwind first day to a dramatic close.
