Also representing the UK are AC, with three Cobras, and Aston Martin, with cars running from the 1935 Ulster through to the 1962 Project 212. Lotus, in its own 70th anniversary year, features too, with classic F1 cars like the Lotus 16 and 19. Among these is the ex-Jim Clark Lotus-Climax 25, which has won five of the last seven Glover Trophy races, for 1.5-litre F1 cars from 1961 to 1965.
The oldest car in the field is the 1932 Alfa Romeo 8C – one of two Alfas taking part – which just predates the ERA B-Type R5B “Remus”. Remus was the first car ever to win a Revival race, taking victory in the Woodcote Cup back in 1998.
