Video: 2022 Lavant Cup full race | Goodwood Revival 2022

What’s that, an MGB? So it is, and behind that? It’s another MGB. And another, and another, and another. And then another 25 MGBs. It’s time, of course, for the fantastic Lavant Cup from the spectacular 2022 Goodwood Revival.

The 25-minute MGB extravaganza was an absolute riot, because while some of these ‘identical’ cars are naturally faster than others, there are always dramatic scraps up and down through the field. Frustratingly for some there was quite a big scrap at the start of the race, with a number of cars forced to retire. But after a red flag and a second start the MGBs were on fine form. Fast forward to the closing minutes of the race it looked as though the driver at the front was all set to take his first ever race win, but could he hold on until the chequered flag?
