The Cobras and E-Types dominated, with Chris Ward and Gordon Shedden’s Jag bringing home the victory with two Cobras of Frank Stippler/Michael Squire and Andrew Smith/Olly Bryant following closely in a respective second and third.
It was simultaneous heartbreak and relief for Giedo van der Garde as a bold move for first place from Shedden's E-Type edged him off the track and sent him careering toward the tyre wall. Thankfully, with the momentum dwindling, the car swings just the right way, just kissing a bit of foliage sprouting from the tyres. A disappointing end and a lucky escape for the number 2 Cobra!
