Video: Stunning Italian racers flat out at Goodwood Revival

If you were going to round-up the best-looking cars from the Goodwood Revival, we’d bet a fair number of them would have originated in Italy. It’s not that we’re trying to prove that point, but if we were, this video compiling Italian beauties from the 2025 event provides some compelling evidence.

Things kick off with a Ferrari 250 SWB. While it might not quite equal the value of its GTO stablemate, we reckon it has it beaten for looks. And its appearance is only enhanced when it’s flat out around the Goodwood Motor Circuit. Subtle four-wheel drifts are the art to a good lap time, and we could watch it all day. Which is good news because it’s followed by a clip of two different 250 SWBs doing battle.

Ferrari action continues with our next two clips. A Ferrari 275 GTB/C from the Fordwater Trophy scraps with smaller, lighter sportscars that are more than giving it a run for its money, as the rest of the field swarms around it. Next up, a Ferrari 1512 with its screaming V12 has things more its own way, the single-seater having plenty of space to itself.

Goodwood Revival will celebrate Maserati in 2026

Maserati is our next Italian maker, the 8CTF being driven in the rain of the Goodwood Trophy. It’s an evocative sight, especially when spectators’ view of the driver is so clear. You can watch as the big-diameter steering wheel is worked hard in the wet condition, and the 2026 Goodwood Revival will provide ample more opportunities to enjoy the sight of Maseratis at the Motor Circuit, as we celebrate 100 years since the marque’s first major motorsport success this September.

An Alfa Romeo 158 ‘Alfetta’ brings in a new marque, and this car is given similar treatment to the 8CTF, albeit in drier times, while an Alfa Romeo Giulietta represents the saloon car genre from the St. Mary’s Trophy presented by Motul. It’s being driven by none other than Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button and, as you’d expect, he’s not hanging about. Revel in the 1960s saloon being driven right on the limit.

The video rounds out with 2025’s celebration parade of Alfa Romeo’s centenary. The glory years of the sporting Italian marque are represented by sportscars, endurance racers, saloon and pre-war Grand Prix cars. Best of all?
