Included in this very appetising section of the entry list are cars including the type of machine that Michael Schumacher raced in his third F1 season in 1993: the Benetton B193. The V10 era is covered from its very early stages to the very last, with the 1989 Arrows A11, which happens to hold the outright circuit record at Goodwood, set to star on track in the hands of multiple Goodwood record-holder Nick Padmore, while the McLaren MP4/20 from the final year of the V10-era is on static display.
Other F1 machinery to look out for includes the cool, but useless, Forti FG03, the brilliant, Adrian Newey-designed Leyton House CG901, a trio of Ferraris from the Schumacher era and McLarens from the MP4/5 to the MP4/15.
The other demo will see a huge line-up of Porsche 956 and 962s out on track as the sun sets on Saturday, to celebrate 40 years since the birth of Group C and the 956’s dominance of Le Mans. Important cars will include race winners from 1982, special-edition Japanese spec 962s and drivers include Derek Bell, John Watson and Tiff Needell.
