A Porsche with a truly turbocharged provenance will be one of the star lots at Artcurial’s sale at Retromobile in February. The name in the logbook of this 930 Turbo? Sébastien Loeb.

You could own Sébastien Loeb's Porsche 930 Turbo
When the great French world champion – an unprecedented nine times winner of the World Rally Championship – was not winning things on stage or track he drove the red Porsche at his home in Switzerland.
He was only 14 when the car was made. Some time after the electrician-turned-rally-driver blasted his way to success, winning the Junior WRC in 2001 and then starting his remarkable Citroën-borne run of victories between 2004 and 2012, he obviously decided to celebrate in style, becoming the Porsche’s third owner. He has kept it ever since.
The car is said to be in exceptional condition with only 34,200km on the clock. One of the last 930s made for the 1989 model year, Seb’s car is a five-speed manual, has beige leather interior and comes with typical 930 features: Fuchs wheels, limited-slip diff, sunroof and air-conditioning.
We suspect of more interest to future owners will be the owner’s manual, which has been signed by the world champion.
WRC superstar, three times winner of the Race of Champions, a podium at Le Mans, F1 test driver, and occasional GT and touring car driver, Sébastien Loeb is not only one of the most successful drivers in history but one of the most versatile.
Seb’s Porsche is truly the choice of a champion, so what price to have it in your garage? Artcurial’s pre-sale estimate is £146-172,000 (about €170-200,000), and the sale is on at the Retromobile exhibition in Paris on February 10th, starting at 14.00hrs.
