“… At its most potent”. Such a well-used piece of motoring jargon is with most performance cars, easily deployed. Most normal model ranges offer a standard car, and a 'tarted-up' faster version.

Video: 911 GT3 RS v 911 Turbo S – Porsche showdown
Not so with the ever-present Porsche 911. More often than not, there’s a version available for every day of the week. So when you ask what the 911 is, “at its most potent”, do you say GT3 RS, or Turbo S? Happily, in the video above, Evo have had a go at answering via some side-by-side footage of the fastest 911s taking on Anglesey. Two very different ways of making rear-engined Pork go faster, but is there a definitive winner?
