A mega burnout from the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 Coupe ahead of its Hill run starts off the compilation, which includes a parade featuring Freddie Sheene riding the Suzuki RG500 XR23A in tribute of his father, the great Barry Sheene, who we’re celebrating at all our 2026 motorsport events at Goodwood.

Action from the Drift batch followed; anyone familiar with Axel Hildebrand’s antics with the Volvo 745 earlier in the event may notice that his four-legged passenger was by now sporting a pair of shades to accompany the theatrics — both driver and (toy) dog seemed to be having the time of their lives.

Shifting gears, Le Mans legend and local hero Derek Bell shared his reflections on Ferrari, celebrating 75 years of motorsport success in 2026, after driving his Ferrari 312 for the first time since 1969. We also saw the Ferrari F2008 on the Hill, Franco Colapinto at the wheel of the Alpine-liveried Lotus E20, and James Vowles’ run in the Williams FW18 gave us a taste of what was to come later in the day.

Highlights from this year’s theme: ‘The Rivals — Epic Racing Duels’, included a flurry of Auto Unions, a Lancia Delta S4 and a Peugeot 205 T16 E2 driving concurrently, and live insight from Karun Chandhok as he climbed the Hill in James Hunt’s title-winning McLaren M23.

Sunday’s Balcony Moment was a celebration of Damon Hill, 30 years after he became Formula 1 World Champion. Emotional scenes saw him reunited with his FW18 before he was joined by his family on the balcony — who presented him with the original trophy from the 1996 Japanese Grand Prix, the race where he clinched the title.

Finally, the time came for the climax of the weekend: the Timed Shoot-Out final. Romain Dumas and the Ford Super Mustang Mach-E were the favourites heading into the event and had set the fastest time on Saturday. The reverse order grid meant that the tension built and built as new fastest times were set, but could Dumas make it three-in-a-row? There were certainly thrills along the way.
