Where are the best picnic spots at the Revival?

We’ve searched out the finest spots for you to lay out a picnic blanket and enjoy your afternoon tea. So in no particular order, here are our top five locations…

Lavant Corner

Enjoy a ‘Henman Hill’-type atmosphere with plenty of catering options, picnic benches and deckchairs.  A great spot to spread out a picnic and enjoy our new double-sided TV screen, so you don’t miss the track action while you are dining.

Rev-2013-Sun-Marcus-Dodridge034Over The Road

Don’t miss the more relaxed vibe of Over The Road.  You can choose to sit by the Revival Car Show – this has the advantage of placing you right by the the top ten entrants of the Best in Show competition in among all the other classic automobiles parked there.

Alternatively, you can picnic by the children’s play area or funfair, or enjoy a great range of catering in our H Van Avenue, with plenty of places to sit.  A large TV screen by the bridge keeps you in touch with the racing.

Madgwick and Fordwater

To escape the thrum of the core area, why not try the south side of the circuit? Madgwick corner offers grass banks to view from – and if you travel a little further, the exit of Madgwick is another lovely spot. Both Madgwick and Fordwater offer great views of the track and big screens so you won’t miss out on the close-up action.

REV09 Sat Jeff Bloxham1445Freddie March Spirit of Aviation

Why not come and take the weight off your feet in a deckchair while enjoying the sounds from the Band Stand? Catering ranges from a grab-and-go offer to the Veuve Cliquot Airstream – all of which makes for a relaxed spot to enjoy the amazing aircraft on display.

Spitfire Café

On the south side of Spitfire café, enjoy great south-westerly views across the airfield in a deckchair or at a bench.

Use the Event Map if you are not sure where these places are.
