Revival 2015 Race Gallery – Goodwood Trophy

It was Nicholas Topliss, in his 1935 ERA A-type, who got off the line best in the Goodwood Trophy. He catapulted from the second row of the grid into the lead, squeezing through the smallest gaps between Calum Lockie’s Maserati 6CM and Tom Dark’s Bugatti Type 73C  to do so. Our photographer Tom Shaxson was there to capture the moment, as you’ll see in the gallery above.

Revival 2015

The skinny-tyred grid of grand prix and voiturette cars from 1930 to 1950 had a damp surface to contend with early on in the race, but it dried up in the later laps. When the chequered flag came out, it was the Maserati 6CM of Calum Lockie that crossed the line first.
