Sunday’s Closing Party was the perfect finale to the 2026 Goodwood Revival

First there was a ceremonial cake, cut by race winners Lukas Halusa and André Lotterer — though commentators playfully noted that their high-speed racing skills were perhaps a bit sharper than their cake-cutting abilities. Cake and Champagne were handed out generously amidst the bustling crowd, dressed beautifully in their finest period attire. Bringing a sudden burst of rhythmic energy to the pit straight, London's Ruckus Brass Band marched out, providing a lively brass soundtrack that resonated across the grandstands.

Soon after, the Duke of Richmond took to the stage to present the weekend's highly anticipated official awards. Abby Wingett proudly collected the Maria Teresa de Filippis Trophy celebrating women in motorsport, while the award for fastest lap on a motorcycle went to Tom Booth-Amos. The legendary John McGuinness was named Rider of the Meeting, and James Davison took home the accolade for the single fastest lap of the meeting. 

In an emotional moment, the Simon Diffey Trophy for the spirit of Goodwood was awarded to the iconic Sheene family, collected on stage by Barry Sheene's son, Freddie. Rounding out the major prizes, Joe Colasacco was crowned the Rolex Driver of the Meeting, and the miniature racers of the Settrington Cup presented by Ralph Lauren saw Josh Pierce take the top honours.

With the trophies handed out, New York’s finest bandleader Dandy Wellington brought the party spirit to life with a flawless set you couldn’t help but dance to. The crowds united in a performance of the Shim Sham, drawing a vibrant close to an unforgettable three days at the 2026 Goodwood Revival. Next year can’t come soon enough.
