The artisans of Goodwood Revival: Oxford Pennant

10th September 2026

The Goodwood Revival presented by Dunlop is full of vibrant shopping spots where you can pick up beautiful, handcrafted wares. Ahead of this year’s event, we’ve spoken to the creative minds behind a selection of these items, who will be trading at the Revival, to learn more about their creative processes.

Co-founder of Oxford Pennant, Dave Horesh — who named the business after his late, much-loved dog — told us why this iconic US tradition has struck such a chord with Goodwood fans.

Few things say Americana quite like a pennant — whether celebrating a favourite sports team, a much-loved holiday spot or an alma mater. The Goodwood Shop has found the perfect partner in Oxford Pennant, the New York maker behind specially designed pennants and camp flags for the Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival presented by Dunlop and Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport.

For the past 13 years, Oxford Pennant has been turning classic American nostalgia into covetable collectors’ pieces. Authentic, characterful and built to last, they are the real deal, perfect for motorsport fans and anyone drawn to timeless Americana.

“Pennants and camp flags are very traditional here in America,” explained Horesh. “People have them made to mark big moments: weddings, birthdays, anniversaries. I think our focus on great design and authentic materials really resonates with Goodwood’s ethos and attention to detail.

“We make sure the graphics are eye-catching, stylish and specific to Goodwood. The colours reflect each motorsport event, and the designs are carefully researched — from the classic motor circuit era to the energy of the Festival of Speed Hill.”

Oxford Pennant began as a way for Horesh to be entrepreneurial and creative at once. “We grew the company organically,” he added, “and now we’re proud to have 45 employees in Downtown Buffalo producing more than 100,000 units a year.”

“We’re in the business of selling memories, which aligns perfectly with Goodwood’s aim to create a great day out for all ages.”

Inspired by classic racing memorabilia, the traditional triangular Goodwood pennants are made from hand-cut felt and feature tabs for easy wall or pole mounting. The larger camp flags make an even bolder statement.

As Horesh puts it: “We love paying homage to the past, but by using modern techniques we can make sure the memories we create are built to last.”

Oxford Pennant’s designs are available at the pop-up Goodwood Shops during events and year-round at Goodwood Shop website.

Saturday tickets and 3-Day passes for the Goodwood Revival have now sold out, and Friday and Sunday tickets are limited.
