The 80th Members’ Meeting presented by Audrain Motorsport sees cars from a broad range of eras taking the historic West Sussex motorsport. One minute you’ll see the new GMA T.50 hypercar, the next a wild contrast in the form of the S.F. Edge Trophy and its grid full of century-old Edwardian machines.

The S.F. Edge Trophy returns to Goodwood after a hiatus in 2022, and we’ve loved welcoming back such a wide range of cars from motorsport’s earliest days. From land speed record cars to hillclimb specialists, these low-revving, big-capacity monsters are a real challenge to hustle around the circuit.
The race takes its name from Selwyn Francis Edge, the pioneering racing driver who competed in cars from the likes of De Dion and Napier. The S.F. Edge race first ran at the Members’ Meeting in 2016 and takes its inspiration from events like the Gordon Bennett Cup at Brooklands. It’s those races that have inspired the S.F. Edge Trophy.
You can really see the drivers working hard at the wheel, the exposed cockpits showing them working at the over-size steering wheels, the skinny tyres just about holding on. Oh, and did we mention that most of them don’t really want to stop? It’s driving at its purest, and a real spectacle that contrasts with almost everything else you’ll see competing at Members’ Meeting.
Here’s the race in full.
