Condensing a day of relentless action into one highlight reel is no easy feat, but our wonderful editors have done it again. Keep your eyes peeled for Travis Pastrana in the wild Subaru 'Brataroo' 9500 Turbo, who clocked a 49.53 second run after dropping wheels onto the grass and kicking up an enormous cloud of dust.
He wasn't the only one treating the lawn like a racetrack; rallycross maestro Johan Kristoffersson completely obliterated his target time in the VW Polo WRX, crossing the line in a mind-boggling 43.1 seconds despite a dramatic, crowd-pleasing slide through the scenery.
The single-seater contingent brought plenty of drama, too, with Dan Ticktum pushing the Spark Gen 4 Formula E car up the Hill, kicking up dust to shave a massive 3.5 seconds off his targeted benchmark. We also witnessed a stellar hypercar arrival, as F1 World Champion Lando Norris gave the world its first look at the McLaren MCL-HY – McLaren’s 2027 Le Mans challenger clad in iconic papaya paint.
Finally, for a moment of pure motorsport magic, the one and only Lightning McQueen graced the Goodwood tarmac, proving that the Festival of Speed brings in the best from all sides of motorsport.
The 2027 Festival of Speed will take place on 15th-18th July 2027, sign up for ticket alerts to make sure you don't miss out. Tickets are available for GRRC Members and Fellows, you can join the Fellowship today.
