The Timed Shoot-Out is the climax of the Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard, where the fastest drivers and cars fight it out to conquer the Hill. If you want to see what happens when the throttle is pinned to the floor from start to finish, our latest highlight reel complies the absolute fastest machinery to grace the Hill in 2026.

Distilling the terrifying velocity of the top contenders into one video takes some serious doing, but we have done our best to capture the absolute cream of the crop. Keep your eyes peeled for Ryan Tuerck, who ignited the tarmac in the ferocious Toyota Judd Formula Supra, leaving a spectacular trail of sparks flying from the front splitter as it scraped the Hill.

The Timed Shoot-Out final itself was a masterclass in risk-taking; Jake Hill wrung the neck of the thunderous Nissan 300ZX Turbo, while rallycross king Johan Kristofferson treated the track limits as a mere suggestion, dipping his VW Polo WRX onto the grass during some incredibly high-speed cornering.

The precision on display was mind-boggling. Alex Summers gave us a lesson in the art of the microscopic margin, hustling the mighty Shadow-Chevrolet DN4 to slice a tiny 0.01 seconds off his target time, but on the Hill every single millisecond counts. We also watched Jordan Pepper lay down a marker during Qualifying, extracting every ounce of performance from the BMW M3 Touring 24H.

Not to be outdone by internal combustion, Dan Ticktum proved the future is blindingly fast. Piloting the Formula E Spark Gen 4 car, his was positively electric through the straights and bends, shaving a massive 3.85 seconds off his benchmark.

Yet, when the tyre smoke cleared, nobody could touch the reigning King of the Hill. The powerhouse collaboration between Romain Dumas and the monstrous Ford Super Mustang Mach-E proved completely unstoppable, storming up the flint wall to claim another breathtaking Timed Shoot-Out victory.
