2026 Sussex Trophy preview | Goodwood Revival

17th September 2026
Annabel Heaton

The Sussex Trophy is a race for World Championship sportscars and production sports-racing cars of a type raced between 1955 and 1960, a stunning 25-minute race homage to a spectacular era of racing.

It’s inspired by the tourist trophy races of 1958 and 1959 which brought the Sports Car World Championship to Goodwood. The inaugural race was won by Roy Salvadori, and the racing pedigree has continued up until this day.

Which cars are competing in the 2026 Sussex Trophy?

The prestige of the driver line-up is perfectly mirrored by the legendary machinery taking to the track for this year’s Sussex Trophy. The grid welcomes back some of the race’s most decorated champions, including the three-time winning Jaguar D-Type ‘Long-nose’, the five-time winning Lotus-Climax 15 and another five-time victor, the Lister-Jaguar ‘Knobbly’. Racing alongside these historic podium-sitters is the iconic Maserati Tipo 61 ‘Birdcage’ — a giant of motorsport that is uniquely suited to this year's Revival as part of the official Maserati Celebrations.

Saturday tickets and 3-Day passes for the Goodwood Revival have now sold out, and Friday and Sunday tickets are limited.
