It’s the final day of the 2026 Goodwood Revival

20th September 2026
Goodwood Road & Racing

We always go into day one of the Goodwood Revival presented by Dunlop filled with anticipation of what’s to come, and the past two days have exceeded our lofty expectations with close-fought battles on track, poignant celebrations of Jack Brabham and Maserati, and the Italian La Dolce Vita theme that has been laced through the entire event.

But the unique atmosphere of the Goodwood Revival can’t go on forever, and final day has dawned over the Motor Circuit. The racing programme is once again packed with the very best pre-1966 racing you’ll see anywhere, including the blue ribband race of the entire weekend: the two-driver, 45-minute RAC TT Celebration presented by Dunlop. The cars are one thing: the grid will be packed with thundering V8 sportscars and svelte Jaguar E-Types.

But it’s the calibre of drivers that really make this the crescendo of the weekend. From Formula 1 Champions Jenson Button and Jacques Villenenuve to Hélio Castroneves’ on his historic racing debut, there are many highly competitive drivers in the field. The front row of the grid reads like a who’s who, with Tom Ingram (AC Cobra), Dario Franchitti (TVR Griffith 400) and Rob Huff (Jaguar E-Type) at the sharp end. Other contenders include Romain Dumas (Shelby Cobra), Gordon Shedden (AC Cobra), André Lotterer (Jaguar E-Type) and Jason Plato (Jaguar E-Type).

The RAC TT Celebration is scheduled to start 16:00 but we have plenty to keep us entertained in the meantime.

There’s something therapeutic about walking the paddocks early in the morning. As an event day gets underway it’s easy to forget what you’re surrounded by, as thousands of people explore what the Revival has to offer, with the sound of cars, planes, helicopters and race commentary filling the air.

The early morning paddock walks are a privilege, and our intrepid team of photographers was out and about before the Motor Circuit gates were opened. We hope these images allow you to get a flavour of that beautiful stillness. Roll on day three of the 2026 Revival.
